Yeah, what's weirder is that I won both months of September for the last 2 years. Of course, I told Tom he could give the prize to someone else if it was an issue, but he says I won it fair and square, so whatever.

Having met the man, I can say he is a very self actualized guy, focused and entertains other people's thoughts well. I've known other Pennsylvania guys like Tom before, and they are a very sorted bunch, rock solid morals, no regrets.
Being a native Pennsylvanian, I can agree that a lot of my people are like that, especially the Pennsylvania Dutch of which I am one of. We're a simple folk, like to entertain those who would like to get to know us, but at the same time we hold onto our values with gusto. I don't know if Tom's PA Dutch, but he sure seems like it.
Before I was 10, there was a huge-ass sign when we crossed over into PA, and onto the PA Turnpike headed West, "America Starts Here" lol! As an NJ native, I always gotta kick out of that sign... they moved it further inside the State border, but they eventually got rid of it.

Yeah, that's a pretty stupid slogan considering we're pretty inland and whatnot, but hey, no state is perfect.
There was some legit reason for it at the time... some BS with a tri-state highway authority I think... that sign was there before I was born. And NJ is definately more fucked up; too many small towns draining the populace for services they don't see or need. It's practically a National disease, and all it does, is force poorer people out... unless you live in the city, and are on the dole :|
